Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie checked out of a maternity clinic in the south of France on Saturday a week after giving birth to twins, according to a statement. Jolie, 33, left before dawn on Saturday, avoiding photographers who have been massed outside the Fondation Lenval clinic in Nice. The Oscar-winning American actress and her children Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, a boy and a girl, "were doing perfectly well," said the statement issued by the clinic. The twins, born last Saturday, brought the number of Jolie's children with 44-year-old American film star Brad Pitt to six. Jolie jets to Cambodia, pledges new conservation scheme
PHNOM PENH (AFP) — Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has pledged to set up a new conservation project in Cambodia after making a surprise visit with her husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie and Pitt, whose adopted son Maddox was born in Cambodia, flew to the impoverished Southeast Asian country during filming for "A Mighty Heart" in Mumbai.
After arriving in the northern town of Siem Reap Wednesday, the couple travelled to the former Khmer Rouge stronghold of Pailin and met for about 40 minutes with deputy governor Ieng Vuth.
"She has been interested in this area for a long time and when she came, she said it was necessary to immediately help this place," said Ieng Vuth, son of the ultra-left regime's former foreign minister Ieng Sary.
"The most urgent thing is to preserve the environment about Phnom Khieu (Blue Mountain)," he added.

Angelina Jolie visits Cambodia
PHNOM PENH (AFP) — US megastar Angelina Jolie has made a surprise visit to Cambodia, the home country of one of her adopted children.
"Angelina Jolie has arrived," an airport official in Phnom Penh told AFP on Wednesday.
Officials at her charity declined to comment on her trip, and it was unclear if her celebrity husband Brad Pitt or any of their children were travelling with her.
The two had been in Mumbai filming "A Mighty Heart", a movie about US journalist Daniel Pearl's abduction and murder by Islamic militants in Pakistan in 2002. Jolie is starring in the movie and Pitt is a producer.
Last week they became embroiled in controversy after three of their bodyguards were arrested following a scuffle at an Islamic school in Mumbai.
